FRoST at ERC 2019

FRoST competed at the European Rover Challenge 2019 in Kielce, Poland with Horizon XIX — the founding rover and the platform the team built from scratch in its first year. Out of 40 teams from across the world, FRoST finished 23rd, gaining its first experience of international Mars rover competition and the operational demands that come with it.

The competition exposed both the potential and the limitations of Horizon XIX, and the lessons fed directly into the two years of development that followed and ultimately into ARES.
